Use of Vassopresin in Septic Shock Prospective Multicenter Observational Study With Medication

The aim of this observational study is to examine real-world clinical practice regarding the use of vasopressin as a second-line vasopressor in adult patients admitted to Intensive Care Units (ICUs) with septic shock. The study focuses on critically ill adults (≥18 years) diagnosed with septic shock and treated with norepinephrine and vasopressin. The main research questions are: * Does early initiation of vasopressin-defined by the norepinephrine dose at the time of introduction-reduce mortality in patients with septic shock? * What is the impact of vasopressin as a second vasopressor on renal function and the progression of organ dysfunction in septic shock patients? Participants will: * Be admitted to an ICU with a diagnosis of septic shock. * Receive vasopressin as an adjunct to norepinephrine for hemodynamic support. * Be monitored daily throughout their ICU stay, with data collected through a dedicated REDCap system. * Have relevant clinical data pseudonymized and incorporated into the study database for statistical analysis.

FCH vs FDG PET/CT in Detection of Lesions in Patients With Multiple Myeloma (MIM)

Hybrid positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) has now become available to detect tumors in patients with multiple myeloma. The radioactive glucose 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) is the most widely used tracer but findings suggest that PET/CT reveal more lesions when using FCH. In this study, FDG is compared with a more recent metabolic tracer, 18F-fluorocholine (FCH), for the detection of multiple myeloma lesions at time of initial extension assessment. The principal objective of this sudy is to compare the number of suspected hypermetabolic foci of myeloma detected by 18F-fluorocholine PET and by 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose PET during the initial extension assessment.

The Dragon PLC Trial (DRAGON-PLC)

The goal of the DRAGON PLC clinical trial is to determine whether portal vein embolization (PVE) combined with hepatic vein embolization (HVE) improves resectability and overall survival in patients with initially unresectable primary liver cancer compared to standard PVE alone. This trial specifically focuses on patients with hepatocellular carcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma. The main questions this trial aims to answer are whether combined PVE and HVE increases the proportion of patients who become resectable within 3 weeks and improves 5-year overall survival compared to PVE alone by enhancing liver hypertrophy. Participants will: * Undergo either standard PVE or combined PVE and HVE. * Have regular imaging to assess liver resectability. * Be monitored for survival outcomes up to 5 years after intervention.

Psychodrama Group Therapy for Breakup Distress and Relationship Adjustment: A Randomized Trial

The purpose of this randomized controlled trial is to evaluate whether a psychodrama group therapy intervention can reduce unresolved breakup distress and improve dyadic adjustment in adults currently involved in romantic relationships who have experienced a significant previous breakup. The main questions this study aims to answer are: * Does participation in psychodrama group therapy reduce breakup distress compared with a waiting-list control condition? * Does participation in psychodrama group therapy improve dyadic adjustment and relationship functioning compared with a waiting-list control condition? The researchers will compare participants receiving the psychodrama group therapy intervention with participants in a waiting-list control condition to determine whether the intervention leads to greater improvements in breakup distress, dyadic adjustment, psychological functioning, relationship quality, and sexual satisfaction. Participants will: * complete assessments at baseline, 16 weeks, and 42 weeks; * participate in a 15-session weekly psychodrama group therapy program (intervention group only); * complete questionnaires assessing breakup distress, dyadic adjustment, psychological outcomes, relationship quality, and sexual satisfaction.

Rhomboid Intercostal Sub-serratus Plane Blocks and Erector Spinae Plane Block in Mastectomy Surgeries

Acute post-mastectomy pain can cause adverse impacts on the patients as delayed discharge from post-operative recovery area, impairs pulmonary and immune functions, increases risk of ileus, thromboembolism, myocardial infarction and may lead to increased length of hospital stay. It is also an important factor leading to the development of chronic post mastectomy pain syndrome (PMPS) in almost half of the patients. Various regional anesthetic techniques have been described for postoperative pain relief after mastectomy, for example, thoracic epidural anesthesia, intercostal nerve block, paravertebral block, serratus anterior plane block, and pectoral nerve I and II blocks. All of them offer satisfactory pain relief after mastectomy. Erector spinae plane block is a novel para-spinal regional anesthesia technique, , promises to provide effective visceral as well as somatic analgesia after carcinoma of the breast surgeries. The ultrasound-guided rhomboid intercostal block sub-serratus plane block (RISS) is a novel analgesic technique The RISS block anesthetizes the lateral cutaneous branches of the thoracic intercostal nerves and can be used in multiple clinical settings for chest wall and upper abdominal analgesia

Dinutuximab-beta and Chemotherapy in Newly Diagnosed High-Risk Neuroblastoma

This clinical trial investigates the safety, side effects, and effectiveness of combining an immunotherapy drug called dinutuximab-beta with standard induction chemotherapy for patients newly diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma. Dinutuximab-beta is an antibody designed to target specific molecules on the surface of neuroblastoma cells. In this pilot study, enrolled patients will receive dinutuximab-beta as a continuous intravenous infusion alongside a standard 6-cycle induction chemotherapy regimen. The primary goals of this study are to monitor how well patients tolerate the new combination treatment closely and to determine how effectively tumors shrink before patients proceed to the next phase of their standard consolidation therapy.

Long Term Evaluation of Clinical and Radiologic Results on Femoro-patellar Joint After High Tibial Osteotomy

Osteotomies are among the oldest orthopedic treatments, in use for over 2000 years and still commonly employed. The basic principle involves making a bone cut to allow the realignment of the limb segment affected by deformity. Today, new knowledge and technologies, understanding of bone healing mechanisms, and the introduction of new fixation methods have made osteotomies one of the preferred treatments for early knee arthritis. They serve as an alternative to joint prosthesis implantation in young patients with medium to high functional demand. Medial knee osteoarthritis is a pathology increasingly prevalent in today's population. The resulting varus deformity leads to a shift in the load axis on the medial tibial plateau. Osteotomy in this context becomes a therapeutic tool capable of restoring the correct mechanical axis of the lower limb and delaying or avoiding the progression of arthritis, thus avoiding the need for joint replacement. The two most commonly used techniques are the Closing Wedge Lateral High Tibial Osteotomy (LCW-HTO) and the Opening Wedge Medial High Tibial Osteotomy (MOW-HTO), which are high tibial osteotomies in closure with a wedge removal and in opening with a wedge insertion, respectively. The medium to long-term effects of this procedure, in terms of survival and modification of the tibial slope, have been extensively studied, as evidenced by the extensive literature on the subject. However, the effect of this intervention, in its two variants, on the progression of femoro-patellar arthritis and the height of the patella remains poorly investigated to date.
